Sports Massage Therapy:
60 minute sports massage: £45
30 minute sports massage: £30
Massage therapy has many benefits for both the body and the mind, including but not limited to relaxation, improved circulation, enhanced flexibility, better posture, and increased lymphatic and immune system function. Massage therapy works by loosening the body’s muscles, tendons and connective tissues, allowing increased joint mobility and the release of toxins stored within the body. Our massage therapist comes from a sports background and she therefore specialises in helping clients with sports related injuries and athletes preparing for events. She also loves to treat a wider variety of clients within The Balance Rooms such as gardeners with back strain, children with growing pains, and office workers with neck and shoulder tension.
60 minute shiatsu massage: £45
30 minute shiatsu massage: £30
This Japanese holistic therapy is a form of massage performed and it works on the body’s systems as a whole to create harmony in both the body and the mind. It focuses on the meridians within the body and uses thumb and palm pressure to ease tension throughout the body. Our shiatsu therapist has vast experience working on clients with back, neck, and shoulder pain and has had tremendous results alleviating the symptoms of sinusitis through shiatsu on the face, as well as sciatica symptoms.
Initial Physiotherapy Assessment: £45 (45 minutes)
Follow up Physiotherapy Assessment: £35 (1/2 hour)
Physiotherapy is an amazingly helpful tool for clients wishing to diagnose a certain injury. Our physiotherapist Hilary has over 25 years experience and she has worked locally in the GP practices treating musculoskeletal problems such as neck and lower back pain, joint pain, ligament issues, and muscle sprains and strains. Treatment usually includes some hands on work and the prescription of exercises.
60 minute reflexology: £30
Reflexology can stimulate the body to repair itself by improving circulation, reducing stress, and alleviating pain. It uses pressure points found predominantly on the feet but also on the hands and the head to balance the body’s systems. Our shiatsu therapist enjoys working with a wide range of clients and has specific experience helping clients suffering with sciatica, headaches and IBS.
Hypnotherapy session: £60
Set of 4 sessions: £200
Hypnotherapy can have many positive impacts on a patient’s overall sense of wellbeing. It has been shown to increase calmness in people with anxiety disorders and it can improve overall mood and ease feelings of depression. Our hypnotherapist is a multi accredited, experienced, professional therapist, with a special interest in trauma based anxiety, pain management and depression. She uses a variety of therapies in her work including hypnotherapy, BLAST (EMDR), and BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy).

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science in the promotion of health, peak performance and individual care. Registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. Nutritional Therapy is recognised as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing. Practitioners consider each individual to be unique and recommend personalised nutrition and lifestyle programmes rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach. They never recommend nutritional therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their medical professional. Our Nutritional Therapist specialises in autoimmune conditions, food intolerances, ‘free- from’ diets and sports nutrition. Using evidence-based research, she applies Nutritional Therapy to promote balance and well-being for everyone, from the very young to the very old.
