The Balance Rooms Yoga and Wellness Centre offers a variety of different holistic therapies to complement your overall health and wellbeing. These therapies are:

Podiatry:

Initial Biomechanical Assessment: £55 (1 hour)

Follow up Biomechanical Assessment: £35 (1/2 hour)

Initial Routine Footcare: £40 (1 hour)

Follow up Routine Footcare: £30 (1/2 hour)

Podiatry can help to improve mobility and athletic performance through the prevention and treatment of foot problems. Podiatry can treat a number of conditions including bone and joint disorders, neurological and circulatory diseases, muscular issues, and also common foot ailments such as fungal infections and ingrown toenails. Our podiatrist Rachel specialises in gait analysis and she uses our Balance Rooms treadmill to assess the biomechanics of each client’s gait. Treatments vary from insoles to muscle stretches and exercises. She also offers routine foot care.

Originally from Chesire, Lucy currently works in both private practice and the world of professional sport. A competitive mountain biker and self confessed adventure seeker, Lucy knows only too well how injuries can have an impact on you and your performance. She is passionate about preventing injuries and taking care of her clients holistically, helping to create positive lifestyle changes.

Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy:

Massage therapy has many benefits for both the body and the mind, including but not limited to relaxation, improved circulation, enhanced flexibility, better posture, and increased lymphatic and immune system function. Massage therapy works by loosening the body’s muscles, tendons and connective tissues, allowing increased joint mobility and the release of toxins stored within the body. Our massage therapist Diana has over 30 years experience and she loves to treat a wide variety of clients within The Balance Rooms such as athletes, gardeners with back strain, children with growing pains, and office workers with neck and shoulder tension.

Reiki:

 

60 minute reiki session: £50

Reiki is a form of alternative medicine called Energy Healing. Reiki practitioners use a technique called palm healing or hands on healing through which a ‘universal energy' is said to be transferred through the palms of the practitioner to the patient in order to encourage emotional or physical healing. This Japanese technique for stress reduction promotes the body’s relaxation response and natural healing ability.

Hypnotherapy:

 

Hypnotherapy session: £60

Hypnotherapy can have many positive impacts on a patient’s overall sense of wellbeing. It has been shown to increase calmness in people with anxiety disorders and it can improve overall mood and ease feelings of depression. It can also be used as a complementary intervention for those with obsessive compulsive disorders. Our hypnotherapist is a multi accredited, experienced, professional therapist, with a special interest in trauma based anxiety, pain management and depression. She uses a variety of therapies in her work including hypnotherapy, BLAST (EMDR), and BWRT (Brain Working Recursive Therapy).

Counselling session: £60

Sometimes it is hard to make sense of things by yourself or gain perspective from talking to friends and family. Taking time to tell your story within a non-judgemental therapeutic relationship can bring clarity and healing and, by increasing your self-knowledge, enable you to discover more beneficial coping strategies. It is a process that can transform physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing. Humanistic theory underpins Abi's approach but she works integratively, enabling her to call upon a rich tapestry of therapeutic perspectives, in order to best suit your needs. Additional therapeutic approaches from which Abi draws include mindfulness-based approaches such as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Anxiety Management Techniques. She works with a wide range of issues including loss, health concerns, low mood and adjustment following stressful live events. Sarah provides on-line and face-to-face sessions to adults and young people aged 16 years +.

Tattoo Artistry:

 

Initial Consultation: £20

Follow up price varies depending on the size of the tattoo but works out to £60 an hour for the tattooing

Tattoo artistry allows us to blossom through self expression and Em will make your ideas become a reality using her expertise in art and design. Book an initial consultation with Em to speak about possible tattoo ideas and she will create something for you that is completely bespoke. 

Wellness Consultation:

60 minute Consultation: £50

Chantelle has varied experience across many facets of health and wellness and she draws upon this knowledge for her hour long wellness consults. Her background at university lies in biology and neuroscience, and she has always had a keen interest in understanding how the foods we eat affect our health, both physically and emotionally. She has worked as a counsellor in secondary school settings here in England, and is fully DBS checked and able to work with children. Her passion lies in helping clients transition over to a plant based diet in a way that is stress free and healthy on a long term basis, but she is happy to discuss any area of a client's life that needs a more targeted focus for overall health and wellness.
